Bienville Parish Main Library to Host Community Forum on Alzheimer’s & Dementia

Bienville Parish Main Library is hosting a Community Forum on Alzheimer’s & Dementia on Wednesday, February 21, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Event Room of the Main Library located at 2768 Maple Street. Forum speakers include staff from The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center. There is no cost to attend.

The program is open to anyone, whether there is a memory concern for either themselves or a family member or simply interested in knowing more about Alzheimer’s.

Speakers and topics include Paulette Freeman, executive director of The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center, “Introduction to The Bridge and Its Services;” Laura Gauthier, licensed professional counselor and dementia care practitioner for The Bridge, “Dementia 101;” and Stacey Hand, certified validation trainer and dementia educator for The Bridge, “Reducing Your Risk for Alzheimer’s.”
