The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center Hosts Special Book Signing with Local Author Ashley Ivy at The Pearl

The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center will host a special book signing and reading of I F’n Hate Dementia by local author Ashley Ivy on Tuesday, June 17, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Pearl in Shreveport. Readings will be held at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. In addition, The Pearl will donate 10% of the evening’s sales to The Bridge.

Ivy, born and raised in Louisiana, now resides in Texas. She recently appeared on The Bridge’s Light The Way podcast, where she shared insights from her book along with personal and professional experiences.

Ivy is a speech-language pathologist with advanced training in dementia care and caregiver support. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, and maintains national certification through the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).  She has spent most of her professional career working in long-term care, alongside individuals living with dementia and the families who loved them.  Known for her compassionate, honest, and direct approach, Ivy advocates for caregivers by providing practical guidance, empathy, and support through every stage of the dementia journey.
